Beck - “Walls”

a new jam from Beck for Monday morning.  he’s still rocking the lyrical style we love we best from him:

You got warheads stacked in the kitchen
You treat distraction like an instant religion

Beck - “Walls”

Almost everyone has heard of Beck, so I’ll forego the usual description. OK, that’s misleading; I wouldn’t normally forego the description, but Beck’s a tough artist to classify given the range of his music (from punk to country to new wave and back, all on a single album, and that’s just Odelay).

Beck’s latest album, Modern Guilt displays a more subdued side of Beck with a retro, psychedelic, 60s focus. Modern Guilt should be on everyone’s list of fall albums, and this track, “Walls”, is one of the album’s sleeper hits.

Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy.
Music is the electrical soil in which the spirit lives, thinks and invents.
