The Temper Trap - “Soldier On”

The guitar-picking keeps the sound perfectly sparse.  You can tell that he had this perfect guitar part along with this change into the heavy part put together that he was just in love with.  and then he thought to himself, “crap.  i need to get some words and vocals for this.”

For me, his voice took a little getting used to in the first part, but it’s not too hard to get used to.
The ending reminds me a little of Coldplay—something from Rush of Blood to the Head….

They’re quite domestic.
